"Coming to the Twin Rivers District has been a life-changing experience for our family. After spending years in a refugee camp in Thailand after leaving Burma, we were searching for a place where we could build a safe and hopeful future. In Rosthern and the surrounding communities, we found welcoming neighbours, opportunities to work hard, and a place where our children can grow and thrive. We are proud to share a part of our culture through the sport of sepak takraw, and it has been amazing to see the community support it. Our team has grown and even gained national recognition, something we never imagined when we first arrived. Twin Rivers is more than where we live — it is where we have been able to build a new life, strong friendships, and a bright future for our family."
