Our Story
Goal: To further our mission by engaging with our neighbouring municipalities.
The Twin Rivers group was formed in February 2008 with the desire to build inter-municipal relationships and identify regional opportunities. The name Twin Rivers comes from the natural borders of the North & South Saskatchewan Rivers that frame the area.
Vision Statement
Twin Rivers is a cooperative group of municipalities that works to build a safe, prosperous, attractive and progressive region through mutual respect for each other and their citizens.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to work together to address needs, take advantage of opportunities and create mutually beneficial solutions to improve municipalities and lives of current and future residents.
Value Statements
Be open minded, Fair and Equitable. Listen to the concerns of each municipality and respect their views. Be fair and equitable when discussing costs and responsibilities.
The Twin Rivers Region is built on partnership. Seven municipalities work together to strengthen local capacity, coordinate services, and build a shared future. Together, we are creating a corridor of opportunity —where collaboration drives prosperity and community wellbeing comes first.
